Don\u2019t miss the revival of quad skating: those good old classic roller skates with wheels arranged in two rows of two are back with a vengeance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can join the beginners\u2019 groups to get the hang of the technique, and you\u2019ll soon be able to move up to the next groups.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Quad Dance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Friday (every other week, see Ordolio for details) 8.00\u20139.00 pm Quad Dance at Sporthal Rijschool, Rijschoolstraat 21, 3000 Leuven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roller Derby<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Roll & Skate has had its own roller derby team since 2024. Roller derby originated in the US and is a contact sport played indoors in teams on quad skates. We follow WFTDA guidelines for competitions, and the team consists of women of legal age (people with a non-binary gender identity are also welcome).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training sessions take place between September and June, on Wednesdays from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm in Leuven city centre. In addition, regular activities are organised to help you get to know all aspects of the sport, such as gameplay watch parties, volunteering at tournaments, joint training sessions with other teams, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019ve mastered the basic skating techniques, we\u2019ll move on to contact training. As a team, we\u2019ll work on our tactics throughout the year and play friendly scrimmages against other Belgian teams. As we progress as a team, we\u2019ll also be able to take part in domestic and international competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
