The club was founded by sisters Annie and Josette Lambrechts. Both were among the world\u2019s best in speed skating for many years. Since the club\u2019s inception, our competitive skaters have consistently delivered outstanding performances at both national and international level. Bart Swings has now been a fixture among the top skaters for several years, as has Jason Suttels, and new home-grown talent is already knocking on the door.<\/p>\n<p>With the arrival of \u2018roller skates\u2019 or \u2018inline skates\u2019 in the 1990s, our skaters had no choice but to switch from traditional roller skates to the faster inline skates with 5, and now 4 or even 3 wheels in a row.
